6 Months

It's a little hard to believe that Aaron is already 6 months old, we never thought 6 months would go by this fast!  He has become quite the rollie pollie around the apartment and is learning to sit up on his own, which makes me a little sad, because he is getting to be such a big boy and not really a baby baby anymore.  Around the first week in October, he cut two teeth, at the same time!  Andrew has been telling me that every time I complain that he is behind on something he comes back and does it 2x what he is suppose to, so I guess I should stop.

He has recently picked up on how to say "dada" and "momma," which is music to our ears!  He is a champ when it comes to eating solid foods, he loves mostly single ingredients when it comes to vegetables but will eat mixed fruits, he's already picky like mommy and daddy lol.

5 Months

It has been quite an adventure so far with Aaron being 5 months old now. Of course he did just turn 5 months last Monday, but still it's been exciting. Just a couple of days ago he discovered his voice. He now LOVES to scream!  His teething has started to get worse than what it usually is, we feel so bad for our little man, because we can only do so much to keep him comfortable and pain free. He has sticky hands now, and everything he can get his hands on goes straight to the mouth, and I do mean EVERYTHING, even mommy's hair, and let me tell ya he has quite a grip when it comes to grabbing hair.

About two weeks ago he rolled over for the first time from his tummy to back, I was in complete shock! I must say though that I had a feeling, mother's intuition is setting in I guess. He just looked at me and laughed after he did it, a couple of days after that big accomplishment, he rolled from his back to his tummy, which is his least favorite thing to do, he gets upset once he is on his tummy though.

Motherhood has been amazing! I found myself looking at Aaron the other day, and all of the sudden I started to cry. I just couldn't believe that such a little person could bring so much joy to my life. He just makes my life complete. The best thing in the world is to hear his little laugh, it's music to my ears!  Lately in the last month, he has gotten to where he grabs my face with his tiny hands and pulls me in for a kiss, I get lots of kisses along with a smile.

There have been times lately that I get into a dark place I will admit, and a lot of it has to do with school. It's during those times that I take a look at my son and realize that what happened with school is no big deal at this point, because I now have this little man who loves me unconditionally and relys on me for everything. Being a mother has taught me so much. God is amazing in the way he works in our lives, because I know it's all part of his plan, I just have to be patient and enjoy the ride, because I know eventually I will get where I need to be when it comes to having a career.

This Week = Success!

This week was very successful with Aaron.  Tuesday night he slept in his crib for a full night and finally started eating all of his oatmeal without the fruit!  We were both very hesitant about the crib the first night, only because his room is across the apartment, and we didn't have a baby monitor.  So, yes I was a typical first time mother and slept on the couch on high alert, but of course not without some tears first.  Aaron slept like a champ that first night and in a way after the crying and hesitancy, it was a little bit of a relief.  We now have a baby monitor that Patricia (grandma) bought us, and we are very thankful for that!

The oatmeal has been a challenge for Aaron to take on a daily basis, especially with a spoon.  This week though he finally ate all of the oatmeal without spitting it out, or needing me to put any fruit in it for him to actually want to taste it.  Andrew and I realized that in just a few short weeks he will be five months old, then of course six months, and before too long we will be celebrating his first birthday!  This is all going by so fast, but we are enjoying every bit of it!  Not a day goes by where Aaron doesn't surprise us with something new.  He has turned into our little Curious George.

Time for Oatmeal

Well, the time has come for Aaron to try out oatmeal or rice.  First we tried the rice and well that did not go over so well.  I figured that since he had been getting rice in his bottles for a "nightime" bottle that I could make it a little more thicker than that.  Nope!  He ended up spitting it out every time I would put the spoon in his mouth.  I later got advice that oatmeal would probably be better, so my next trip to the store I buy oatmeal.  I made it as directed on the box for babies for feeding and well I got the same result!  The next piece of advice I received was to add a little bit of baby fruit to it, so I bought applesauce and bananas.  Today we tried the bananas in the oatmeal and he showed some faces.  So I remade it and this time added the applesauce.  Of course I couldn't feed it to him fast enough and well he became frustrated and threw a fit!  So, needless to say I have yet to have a successful feeding of oatmeal.

3 Months Going on 4!

Well since the last blog post, Aaron has discovered his voice, how to jump up and down in his jumper and still loves his hands in his mouth.  He is working on rolling from his tummy to his back, but not fully there yet.  He has been sleeping through the night still, about 8 hours at a time, but it seems that he will sleep way more for daddy than he will for me.  Today was one of the first times I actually made Aaron laugh out loud numerous times and it was like music to my ears!   He is unofficially around 15 to 16 lbs I think and around 26 to 27 inches long!  His 4 month check up is next Tuesday so we will see if our numbers are close to right.  Now that football season has started, he is loving it!!!  He recognizes his name now when its called and is very curious, daddy and I call him curious george, he he :)

It is already almost time to upgrade to a bigger car seat, he has figured out how to sit up in his current on as a way of telling us he wants out and well sometimes he can't sit back and stays uncomfortable in the car until we stop and see him, which I do not like at all!  I have a couple of videos and pictures I would like to share that were taken recently, hope you enjoy!

3 Months Old!

Well Aaron is now three months old, just within the last month it seems like so much has changed.  Andrew and I measured him last night and he has already grown another inch from his two month check up.  He loves to make a lot of noise, its so cute!  We are slowly introducing the crib, but for now he sleeps in the pak n play still in our room ha ha.  He has figured out he has feet and is not afraid to use them to push up when he is sitting in someones lap.  He laughs out loud now and loves to put his hands in his mouth.  Just last week he started sleeping for longer hours during the night without needing to wake up in the middle of the night to eat....it has been heavenly!

It seems that he is for sure like his daddy, he will sit in front of the tv for about an hour to hour and a half and watch baseball, wrestling, and golf.  I've tried disney movies and mickey mouse clubhouse, but he doesn't seem to care much for but he will tolerate for just a little bit.  He has gained good control of his head when he sits up.  We are now on the road to teething, he has his nights where he is very fussy and wants to be held constantly and other nights he is okay.  It has been quite an adventure so far, we are very interested to see the type of personality he will have.  We were just discussing how everyday we can see the little features he carries between the two of us, kind of blows our mind!

2 Months In.......

Mr. Aaron turned 11 weeks today!  Yes I will say it a million times, it is going by way too fast!  He is getting to be such a big boy, he remains on track as far as development goes, he puts his hands in his mouth, is still working on controlling his head better, and today started to reach for his feet while sitting up in someone else's lap.  He smiles all the time and does a lot of talking!  My goal for this week was to work on getting him to nap in his crib, well that was not successful but he is staying in his swing longer and falling asleep, which has taken some time.  The last couple of nights he has slept for about 7 hours, which is heavenly!!!  Only once has he woken up fussy, but he ended up going right back to sleep.  I started back to work two weeks ago and so far its going good, it took a while to adjust to and get back in to a routine.  He mostly stays with his daddy at night which has made it so much easier on me, because I know he is well taken care of.  During the day time I have the help of grandma's and his nina which I am so so thankful for so I am able to sleep.  He is the happiest baby around our families and seems so comfortable with pretty much everybody.  We are so blessed to have the help that we do while getting use to our new roles as parents.  The first couple of months were the most stressful, I know we have many more to get through, but we feel that we have gotten him figured out as far as what each cry means and when its time for a nap.  We wouldn't trade this for anything else in the world.

Now here are some pictures to enjoy, which i'm sure the majority of you have already seen....

One Year Anniversary!

Andrew and I just recently celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary, its amazing how quickly a year can go by.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband.  We celebrated by getting a couples massage and then went to dinner at Ember's Steakhouse, must say they have the best prime rib!  Our first year of marriage was filled with quite a surprise, we found out in August we were expecting our first baby, I went through the shock of not finishing nursing school, which I now realize was a blessing in disguise.  Then on April 19, 2011 10 months after we got married we welcomed Aaron Michael Tucker into the world.  So I guess I can say our first year of marriage was great!  I don't know who I would be without Andrew or Aaron in my life, I am truly a blessed woman!

Aaron Michael Tucker

Aaron Michael Tucker was born on April 19, 2011 at 03:51 p.m., he weighed 8 lbs 1/4 oz and was 20 3/4 in long.  I was lucky to go into labor on my own, I had a fear that I was going to have to be induced, but trust me I walked the mall like it was going out of style after my doctor visit at 39 weeks, I was ready!  He is doing wonderful so far, it has been quite an adventure and a very big adjustment!  We are going back and forth with nursing and formula but he for sure eats like a champ.  He amazes me everyday with the faces he makes and the way he looks around at his surroundings.  He is already getting too big.  I am enjoying every minute of being a mommy, yes it is hard, but I wouldn't change a thing.

7 Years....

First day of our Senior Year

Homecoming Senior Year

Senior Prom

We recently passed 7 years, and I can't believe its been that long!  So I decided for this blog post I would share some pictures through those 7 years together.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband.  Through these 7 years it has just been the 2 of us and soon we will have our new addition, Aaron.  Its hard to believe that through all this time together we finally got married and soon after found out we were going to be parents!  We are both so nervous and so excited at the same time, because this is a huge new role, and its going to be a huge learning experience, but we can't wait!  Although some things did not work out as planned in the past, we know that the good Lord above has a reason and we know that those things will work out when they need to.

30 weeks!

Today marks 30 weeks of the pregnancy!  I can't believe how fast all of this is going.  The last couple of weeks we have started buying lots of clothes, decorations for his nursery, and books we have started reading to him.  We will be moving into a 2 bedroom apartment next month and I can't wait, because I feel once we are there things will start falling into place for our little man as far as putting his room together.

One of the things I have read about, is that when you are pregnant you have some very out there dreams!  I don't think this is exactly an "out there" dream though, but I have dreamt about what he will look like and its crazy, but all I remember is he had very little hair, greenish eyes like his daddy and the cutest smile!  The closer and closer his due date gets here, the more anxious I become.

It seems that night time is his favorite time to move these days.  I started to actually feel his hands and feets from outside my belly, very weird I must say, but it makes me laugh!  His Nina finally got to feel him move on Sunday :) she described it as his way of saying hi because there was a lot of movment going across my belly while she talked to him.  His Aunt Chloe seems to love feeling him move, it always brings a smile to her face.  Of course there is Daddy, Andrew always has the biggest smile on his face when he feels him move, it always feels like he is doing big punches with his daddy, I love it!

We will be going back to the doctor on the 21st, this last appointment went great, still measuring perfect and his heartbeat is perfect, we couldn't have asked for better news up to this point.

Our Little Journey

Okay so here goes nothing!!!  I decided that my first picture posting should be of our little blessing, Aaron Michael Tucker.  Words cannot describe how excited we both are to become parents!  This pregnancy has gone great so far, besides the whole nausea and vomiting thing during the first trimester, I really don't miss that part at all.  I had my monthly doctor visit yesterday and was measured at 28 weeks which is pretty much spot on and I gained more weight than what I have been so she seemed to be very happy with that.  I will now be going to the doctor every two weeks until I am around 35 or 36 weeks then it will be every week!  I cannot believe it has gone by this fast!  Aaron continues to be very active and have a strong heartbeat, he finally stopped being stubborn and started to move alot for daddy this week, he's even resorted to kicking daddy in the face when he can hear his voice against my tummy, I must say its a little cute and Andrew is loving it!

I guess until next time.....
